Human biology and technology integration

Sitting at the computer this evening, it struck me just how archaic the process of turning on a computer and sitting at it, physically inputting data via an object that requires physical interaction (fingers pressing on plastic keys), has become.

I long for the day when technology has evolved to the point where it is seamlessly integrated into our very being, a fusion between the brain and the “machine”.

The modern day smartphone bridges the gap a little but I am talking a fully integrated experience, an integration that means you don’t have to physically input data into a terminal but just think it. The “computer” becomes a seamless extension of the human brain.

I for one relish the day when we become ……………. cyborgs.
